An Independent Coffee Roaster Built on Brotherhood
The name, brand and concept revolve around the relationship between two coffee loving friends, John and René, built during their time stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan on a military tour. KBC is built on the enjoyment a good cup of coffee can bring, no matter what is going on around you.
The brands illustrations and iconography pay homage to both military heritage, and elements of Afghan culture, including the poppy and the famous Bad Air Blimp, a reference to surveillance blimps that fly high over U.S. Military bases in the area.
The brand colors were chosen to be make reference to Afghan carpets and the indigo and pomegranate dyes used to make them.
